About Sandblazers Beach Volleyball Club

Sandblazers Beach Volleyball Club was founded in 2025 to grow the sport of beach volleyball in Southeast Pennsylvania, where opportunities for dedicated beach training have historically been limited. While the sport continues to expand nationally and at the collegiate level, athletes in this region have had fewer chances to train specifically in the doubles format that defines beach volleyball.

Our mission is to help develop the next generation of beach volleyball athletes through structured training, competitive opportunities, and a supportive environment. Sandblazers focuses on 2-on-2 beach volleyball, a format that develops complete players by emphasizing communication, volleyball IQ, and all-around skill development.

Sandblazers Beach Volleyball Club currently welcomes female athletes in grades 6–12 who are motivated to improve their skills and compete in the growing sport of beach volleyball. Through practices, clinics, and tournaments, Sandblazers aims to help expand the presence of beach volleyball throughout Southeast Pennsylvania.

Leadership

Sandblazers Beach Volleyball Club is directed by Alivia Orvieto, who founded the program to create more opportunities for athletes in the region to train and compete in beach volleyball.

Alivia was born and raised in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and developed her love for the game playing on the same courts that now serve as Sandblazers’ home base at Wilson Farm Park. She later went on to compete as an NCAA Division I beach volleyball athlete and team captain at Florida Atlantic University.

In addition to her collegiate playing experience, Alivia is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer, and nutrition coach, bringing a holistic approach to athlete development. Her goal with Sandblazers is to help local athletes build strength, confidence, and a passion for beach volleyball while continuing to grow the sport in the community where she first learned the game.
